Henry W. Peckwell (1854, New York, New York〔Levy, Florence N., ed., "American Art Annual, 1905-1906," v. 5, New York: American Art Annual, 1905, page 403.〕 – after 1914〔"New York A.C. He was best known for his work as a wood engraver, for publications such as ''Scribner's Magazine'' and ''Harper's Magazine''.

Peckwell was born and raised in New York City, where he also spent his career.
In 1905, he resided at The Alpine apartment building at Broadway and 32nd Street.〔
